Parallel tests failing

Hello,

I am trying to install Firedrake in WSL. I did not face any errors or warning during the installation. But when I finally do firedrake-check, the parallel smoke test fail.

What could be going wrong with my installation?

I have conda installed previously, but I did not find any information regarding handling that on the installation guidelines page, so I did not bother meddling with it.

This is almost certainly a bug in firedrake-check that is fixed on the development branch but not available in the latest release. If you can run

$ mpiexec -n 3 pytest /home/rnp/software/venv-firedrake/lib/python3.12/site-packages/firedrake/_check/tests/firedrake/regression/test_stokes_hdiv_parallel.py

And have it pass then you can be confident that there is nothing actually wrong with your installation. Note that I may have gotten those paths a little bit wrong.
