Why does flameshot add a .xdp- prefix to the filename?

When I take a screenshot, it is saved into the appropriate folder but with the name .xdp-<my-pattern>.png-<random-str>. Example: .xdp-2025-12-12_20-33-07.png-sFFWyQ.

I don't understand why it's doing that and I'm trying to figure out how to fix it.

I'm stuck on 13.1.0 because more recent versions trigger the bug mentioned in #4172 (which I never managed to solve despite attempting everything mentioned in the issue comments)

This is interesting. You are the first one who have reported such an issue.

Does the issue persist when you change the savePath to your home directory?

Hmm... I have no idea what's happened but now it works properly. I switched it to my home, it worked, back to my screenshots folder, it worked as well.
I have no idea what happened but when I had the bug, I was also unable to select my screenshots folder in a normal way, Flameshot would complain at launch Expected: existing directory.
Of course the folder existed since I selected it with the explorer.

It may be due to the fact that my home is encrypted, I've had a slightly similar issue with Docker where I think it tries to use the path outside of encryption, for example. But that's just a theory, I have no idea what's happened.

Another factor could be that, a few days ago, I used clonezilla to change the drive of my whole Linux but once again, I don't know if that's relevant.
