Do you know why this change became necessary?

I assume this is because of Freedesktop 25.08 removing six (upstream issue).

Thanks for the link and attempt to fix this build. I'm still reluctant to merging this, because I'd like all my dependencies to be auto-generated for maintainability. In my quick test the script didn't create any six entry. Also it might be better to get rid of dateutil altogether if possible.
