Feature Request - identify ignored files in the project.

Would it be a lot of trouble to identify those items which are referenced in the project but currently ignored for git?

(So that I get some warning that my files aren't about to be committed.)

Interesting idea. Could be possible. I've worked with some projects where that is intended (eg. where you don't commit web.config or app.config, but have a template that is committed)
