ReNative Starter Template vs Flexn Starter Template

I'm currently evaluating starter templates in ReNative and Flexn to build on multiple platforms. Any advice as to which I should build on?

I see ReNative has more activity, so would like to know how active Flexn Starter Template can be expected to be and what direction the Flex Starter Template project will take.
