Bookmarks Menu in root folder on Firefox not synced to Chrome?

I have Floccus 5.4.5 on Firefox and 5.4.4 on Chrome. I'm syncing the root bookmark folder from Firefox to Chrome. On Firefox, I have three folders in the root: Bookmarks Toolbar, Bookmarks Menu, and Other Bookmarks; when I sync to Chrome, the contents of Bookmarks Toolbar on Firefox are synced to Bookmarks Bar on Chrome and the contents of Other Bookmarks on Firefox are synced to Other Bookmarks on Chrome. The Bookmarks Menu folder on Firefox doesn't appear to be synced to anything on Chrome. Is this expected? If not, is there a way to sync the Bookmarks Menu folder on Firefox without making it a subfolder of Bookmarks Toolbar or Other Bookmarks?

Yes, this is expected. Both Chrome and Firefox have a fixed set of root-level folders which cannot be altered. You can, however, create a second profile on Chrome to sync the Bookmarks Menu into a subfolder of Other Bookmarks (or Bookmarks Bar). If you set the nested sync setting to disabled in that second profile, you can avoid those Bookmarks spilling over into the Other Bookmarks folder on Firefox. I hope that makes sense.

I added the second profile on Chrome using the same GitHub repo as the existing profile that syncs to the root folder with the bookmarks folder set to Bookmarks Bar and disabled nested sync; after authenticating and performing a sync on Chrome with the new profile, I still don't see the contents of the Firefox Bookmarks Menu folder in the Chrome Boomarks Bar. Did you mean that I need to set up a second repo with Firefox configured to sync the Bookmarks Menu folder to it and then set up the second profile on Chrome to pull from that?

Ah, you're using git. My bad. then you need to set up a second profile on firefox for the bookmarks menu as well. You can syncto the same git repo but should use a different file name. The bookmarks folder on chrome needs tobe set to a new subfolder of the bookmarks bar, not the bookmarks bar directly. Let me try to put this in an overview:

• Firefox:
  • Profile 1:
    • Local folder: Root folder
    • Server: /main.html
  • Profile 2:
    • Local folder: Bookmarks menu
    • Server: /menu.html
• Chrome:
  • Profile 1:
    • Local folder: Root folder
    • Server: /main.html
  • Profile 2:
    • Local folder: Bookmarks bar/Bookmarks menu
    • Server: /menu.html
    • Disable nested sync to avoid "Bookmarks menu" showing up in main.html

Hello, this is not very clear to me. I am having a similar problem floccus with linkwarden. I created a second profile on chromium brave and disabled the nesting for it.

However, it syncs all the bookmarks under Floccus collection to "Other Bookmarks". Is there a way to specify a subfolder for the target on the server?

to Local: Other Bookmarks

Currently this is not possible, I think, but you can use a separate collection for this instead of the Floccus collection on the server.
