Describe the Bug

I set up a sync profile on two devices to only sync all my tabs.

Expected Behavior

That changes to my tabs are replicated on any device by modification date.

To Reproduce

Not sure, I guess if I'd open my home device and press sync, some weird sychronization would happen, not taking into account changes I made on my current device.

I would add the log, but for gods sake why are the bookmarks in cleartext?

Thank you for taking the time to open this issue with floccus. I know it's frustrating when software
causes problems. You have made the right choice to come here and open an issue to make sure your problem gets looked at
and if possible solved.
I'm Marcel and I created floccus a few years ago, maintaining it ever since. I currently work for Nextcloud
which leaves me with less time for side projects like this one than I used to have.
I still try to answer all issues and if possible fix all bugs here, but it sometimes takes a while until I get to it.

You can choose the redacted logs, where bookmarks are not in cleartext.

The merge strategy is known to cause issues for tab sync, due to technical limitations of the webextension tab API. The only recommendation to sync tabs well right now that I have is to use the push and pull strategies, e.g. manual push and pull buttons in floccus, to sync tabs, instead of using the merge strategy.

Maybe there's away to have a sane merge sync with tabs after all. I'm looking into this again. I'll keep you posted.
