Floccus does not sync new Firefox bookmark to other browsers

Describe the Bug

I am using Floccus on multiple devices and browsers (Firefox on Linux, plus Brave and Edge on other systems) with the same Google Drive backend. I added a new bookmark in Firefox and triggered a sync, but the new bookmark does not appear in the other browsers.

Expected Behavior

Findings from the Floccus log (Firefox):

Authentication to Google Drive succeeds, and the file bookmarks.xbel is found, downloaded, and processed correctly.

No errors occur during communication with Google Drive.

The log shows: “Failed to load pending continuation. Continuing with normal sync.”

The local bookmark tree detected by Floccus does not contain the newly added bookmark, even though it exists in Firefox.

Because the local change is not detected, it is never uploaded to the backend, so other browsers never receive it.

Expected behavior:
Floccus should detect the new bookmark in Firefox and upload it to the Google Drive backend, making it available to the other browsers.

Steps to reproduce:

Add a new bookmark in Firefox (Linux).

Trigger sync in Floccus.

Check other browsers connected to the same Floccus account → bookmark does not appear.

Notes:
This looks like Floccus is not detecting local bookmark changes in Firefox, even though sync with Google Drive is working normally.

This is peculiar. What is the URL-scheme of the added bookmark? The Google Drive sync method should support the following schemes: 'https:', 'http:', 'ftp:', 'data:', 'javascript:', 'file:', 'chrome:', 'edge:'

First Floccus was intalled in Brave. Then I exported and imported in Firefox. The configuration of this item was automatic.

I've changed and both browsers are using the same path:

Still no luck

Then I tried the reset cache.

Failsafe

This is a simple one. You can disable the failsafe for a short amount of time to allow it to create the bookmarks. then enable the failsafe again.

Ok, I'll do it from scratch. What's the best way to do the "second browser".
For example. Now I've created a profile on Edge and want to do it on other browsers. Should I export/import or create a profile from scratch on every browser?

Ok, I'll do it from scratch.

No need to do it from scratch. The error you got, about the failsafe, is just a safety mechanism. The failsafe mechanism prevents floccus from making too drastic changes, but for the first sync, you probably want a drastic change, which is to create all bookmarks from the other browser on the second browser. For that you can safely disable the failsafe in the settings, click on sync and then enable the failsafe again.

As you wish. You only need to make sure that the local folder is correct after importing.

Yes.
But I started from the scratch. For some reason when I was trying to sync on Firefox it was trying to duplicate.

So I get the bookmarks from brave, removed all Floccus plugins, erased all bookmarks. Installed all extensions again and sync it.

I know that was probably something easier to do, but I couldn't make it work.
