Android Waterfox cannot access local bookmark folder

Describe the Bug

Actually I'm using the outdated Android Kiwi Browser with floccus V5.8.0 and the sync works perfect.

Now I installed Waterfox, a fork of Firefox Browser, and installed floccus. This is the same android device, where the Kiwi Browser with working floccus is installed.

During the floccus setup in the Waterfox Browser I can enter my nextcloud url (by the way, this cannot be done in the plugin directly as a second tab window would be opened but you cannot access this second tab within the floccus addon therefore you have to start the floccus setup in a separate window) and after that you have to select the local folder where the bookmarks should be stored.

But this is the problem, I cannot select any folder:

And therefore I cannot finish the setup and the sync won't work. I tried everything I know to solve this issue by creating any other default folder within the bookmark settings in the Waterfox Browser, but still, no folder can be selected.

Expected Behavior

Same as on every other floccus installation, during the setup, the default local bookmark folder should be clickable.

Thank you for taking the time to give feedback by opening this issue!
Is this instance of Waterfox a fork of fennec (Firefox for Android)? Fennec still does not support the bookmarks API that floccus relies on to work. It's very likely that your Waterfox instance thus also doesn't support floccus.

The reason for this fork of firefox would be that mozilla announced to implement AI and this fork of firefox doesn't have telemetric and AI support.

Sorry to read that floccus cannot be used on this browser. I love floccus and this is one of a kind app I use most on all my devices.

I understand. In general the support for bookmarks extensions on mobile browsers is very sparse, sadly.
