I find this section confusing!  

I don't think of conditions as mapping onto routing - routing is much more of an industrial concept.

Loops are how reduce, map and filter are _implemented_ within a component!  You can also have a loop topology within a network, but typically this is used for different purposes.

Perhaps this section could be simplified!
