Does Fluentd Syslog plugin support RFC 5424 log format?

We are exploring the use of Fluentd with the Syslog plugin, and our requirement is to forward logs in RFC 5424 format. However, while reviewing the Fluentd documentation, we could not find any clear reference or configuration details about RFC 5424 support.

Could you please confirm whether the Fluentd Syslog plugin supports emitting logs in RFC 5424 format? If yes, any guidance or example configuration would be greatly appreciated.

This plugin has library dependency that is remote_syslog_sender -> syslog_protocol.

At least, sounds syslog_protocol roughly conforms to http://www.faqs.org/rfcs/rfc3164.html

Sorry, this plugin does not support RFC5424.
in_syslog supports it and can receive data in the RFC5424 format.
However, this plugin does not support it, so it cannot send data in the RFC5424 format.
