nvim-treesitter defaults to main

I'm not sure what the right thing to do here, but, since the very recent commit, nvim-treesitter defaults to main, not master branch. I've tried removing branch = "main" and got an error.

• Is that something that is controlled by Lazy manually?
• If so, will master be kept as the default one, not to mess with old configs that didn't specify the branch?

I would like to know this so I can help people troubleshoot configs. Thanks!
