Why this warning: Copilot: You are not signed into GitHub.

I'm using codex and have it setup. works fine with and without sidekick, but I always get this warning to sign into GitHub for copilot.

**Copilot:** You are not signed into GitHub.
Please use `:LspCopilotSignIn` to sign in.

why is that? I don't see why I should do that. I don't use it and don't want to... or is it required for the lsp to work?

Opening sidekick with codex and having it modify files with preview is enough for me

I don't want next edit suggestion in the opened buffer for the file i'm working on unless i'm misunderstanding what more - logging in with copilot - provides me

I had another look at the docs and found an option to disable it

Can I use this without NES, just for CLI tools?

Absolutely! Just disable NES:

opts = {
  nes = { enabled = false },
}

Will try this and see if the warning goes away
