italic style not working

Hi,
I can't get the italic style working.
Using alacrity with Iosevka and can confirm that italic works in the terminal. Reinstalled all fonts and run fc-cache -fv. In a vanilla lazyvim install all styles except italic are working. I don't know what to try anymore. Any advise is very welcome.

Are you sure your font supports italic? Either way, this is a configuration issue. Italic styles are applied

thank you for your quick reply. Assuming I understand your answer correctly I should be looking for one font that supports the various styles instead of multiple single style fonts. I will try with a completely different font.

Hello,

On my configuration I did set all those styles to italic = true however only certain keywords are displayed in Italic the rest remains with the regular style.
Not sure if neovim/theme doesn't recognise correctly the entities within the code.

Oh, as per my comment above it was my mis configured font.
