Certain Keybind group cannot be registered

After updating to V3, I encountered this issue: I registered a group called "Surround" with s, but somehow, it is not registered correctly. everything else seems to be working just fine, and here is my config

You mean it doesnt trigger on s? Probably because s is the actual keymap for surround?

Yes, it didn't trigger whichkey, and I think you are right that is an actual keymap somehow. It is really wired because when I press s, it triggers cl instead, but I never map anything to it. I try to debug by running :verbose map s and :unmap s, it all shows that there is nothing mapped to it. Here is my config. I realized that it might not necessarily caused by which-key.
