How do I add some extra space between the separator and icon?

I want to add some additional space between the separator arrow and the icons.

I have tried setting the spacing in my lazy config, but it doesn't help. Would appreciate any suggestions.

Did you solve it? I just encountered the same problem. This might be caused by baking nerd-font visually 2-char-wide symbols into 1-char-wide. That is:

1. your symbol takes a 1-char position.
2. but visually it looks like a 2-char-wide symbol.

The program might(since I haven't dived into it) trim trailing spaces from separator = "..." and add one back. So it looks like the padding isn't added.

I just found a workaround by adding an invisible non-space character. Could you try the following value for separator(you might replace the first char to your liking) and let me know the result? @kamransoomro84

        icons = {
          separator = ' ', -- try this.
        },

The char is U+2001 from this site: https://www.editpad.org/tool/invisible-character.
(I just finished fixing my which-key config.)
