Remove all icons - config example

I don't get the whole nerd font/icons fascination and wanted to remain ascii.
The docs for icons mention:

If you'd rather not use icons, you can disable them by setting opts.icons.mappings to false.

But that doesn't really disable all the icons.
So I was ending up with this:

After a lot of trial and error and some a.i help I found the config that disables the icons (below).
The result now looks:

To fully disable all icons and maintain an ASCII-only interface, your posted configuration is correct and thorough. Here's a clean and minimal recap of the working config:
