Where do I find the *.bit file to flash my embARc boards with FPGA image version 2.3

my embARC EMSK kit is version 2.1.
I want to update the FPGA image with version 2.3
the firmware image folder has a guide which asks me to point it to the configuration *.bit file "core_chip.bit". I just cant find this file. if anyone else knows what to do. plz let me know.

I think .bit files are to program FPGA, but this programming is not permanent, because they are not written to SM Starter's kit flash memory, so after switching off EM SK will revert to its original program (2.1 in your case). To permanently upgrade EM SK to version 2.3 you need to follow section 4 "SPI Flash-Programming Sequence" of the same user guide, for this you would need to use emsk2p3.mcs files from the package.
