Frumu LTD Trademark Policy

"Tandem", "Frumu", and the associated logos and product names in this repository (the "Marks") are trademarks of Frumu LTD. This policy explains what you may and may not do with them. It applies in addition to — and independently of — the software licenses in this repository: neither the MIT/Apache-2.0 licenses nor the Business Source License 1.1 grant any trademark rights, and each license says so explicitly.

The goal of this policy is simple: people who see the Marks should be able to trust that they are dealing with software and services that come from, or are accurately described in relation to, Frumu LTD.

Uses that are allowed without permission

  • Truthful, nominative references. You may use the word "Tandem" to truthfully refer to this software, e.g. "our tool integrates with Tandem", "a plugin for Tandem", "compatible with Tandem", provided the statement is accurate and does not suggest sponsorship or endorsement by Frumu LTD.
  • Unmodified redistribution. You may use the name when redistributing unmodified official releases, provided the source and license notices are kept intact.
  • Commentary, reviews, teaching, and news. Articles, talks, tutorials, benchmarks, and academic work may use the Marks to identify the software.
  • Package-manager conventions. Names like tandem-<something>-plugin for genuinely interoperable extensions are fine, as long as the package description makes clear it is a third-party work.

Uses that require written permission from Frumu LTD

  • Using the Marks (or confusingly similar names) in the name of your own product, service, company, hosted offering, or fork. Forks must be renamed: you may state the project is "a fork of Tandem", but may not distribute a modified version under the name "Tandem".
  • Using the Marks in domain names, social-media handles, or app-store listings in a way that implies the site or listing is official.
  • Using the logos at all, other than unmodified in truthful nominative reference.
  • Any use implying affiliation with, sponsorship by, or endorsement by Frumu LTD.

Reservation of rights

Frumu LTD reserves all rights in the Marks, whether registered or arising from use. Failure to enforce this policy in a given instance is not a waiver. This policy may be updated over time; the version in the repository's default branch is current.
