Considering the future, wouldn't it be better to allow users to choose the model?

Good questions!

HeartCodec version: The codec model is separate from the main model. HeartCodec-oss is the current release and works with all HeartMuLa versions.

Model selection: We plan to add model selection in the Settings UI when the 7B model is released. Currently the Settings modal already has the infrastructure for this - we just need to add the model picker once more models are available.
