Godot crashing when panning around #579

Apologies for any incorrect terms or phrasing, English isn't my first language and I am largely self taught. There is a chance this is not a fault of the addon but something I have done incorrectly that causes the crash, in that case I apologise again.

Godot crashes when trying to pan around or zoom while there is a result generated in the 2d editor preview, and sometimes also crashes when moving in the generator node's editor. The crash happens when paning around with both the scroll wheel and space. If the generation is cleared, then paning around or zooming in/out doesn't cause a crash. Godot also crashes sometimes when there is a generated result and you try to click on a different node (for example the tilemaplayer node, but I have noticed it when clicking on the root node as well). Clearing the generated result first doesn't cause a crash when clicking on a different node.

Not sure what screenshots would be helpful for this particular problem, so I had made a video showcasing the crash that fails to be uploaded here for some reason so the link below points to it.

Godot version: v4.6.stable.official released on 26/1/2026 for Windows
Gaea version: v2.0.0-beta5
