Error tracking with Sentry

• The current codebase uses assert in many places to check conditions and throw on failure.
  • This improves programming robustness, but also introduces a risk where a human error can potentially bring down the entire service.
  • To enable faster incident response, we will integrate Sentry to collect and track error logs.
