is there no way to preprocessing remote image in md file?

I use many remote images stored in aws s3 on my blog post.
gatsby already have a preprocessing remote image but this seems to be limited to post thumbnail.

I want to preprocess the remote images in my markdown file. But I haven't found a suitable way.
is there any way to preprocessing remote image in markdown file for using gatsby-remark-images plugin?
Please let me know if a suitable method exists.
