GatsbyImage & IOS devices

I'm using a Gatsby/Sanity/Netlify solution for my project and using new GatsbyImage for displaying some images on my front page via GatsbyImageData grapqhl queries.

After deploying on Netlify everything works correctly on every platform except IOS devices (tested several apple devices), where 9 times out of 10, the images never load in and all remained blurred. When this happens interactive elements like my nav burger menu also fail to work.

Has anyone else experienced this before or knows why this might be happening?
