Feature request: fetch all mediaItems from WordPress

Hi, I would really need to be able to turn off this feature:

Currently building Gatsby - WordPress site with gatsby-source-wordpress plugin and client need to have some .pdf library for all site visitors. This .pdf library will be updated quite often, so it wont be very effort-friendly if my client has to reference all those .pdf files and to update those references.

Is there any chance that switch for this feature will be implemented any time soon?

Or do you have some suggestions how to bypass this feature? I will appreciate any advice.
