(how) can we use sharp extend in gatsby-plugin-sharp

Hi all,

(how) can we use sharp extend in gatsby-plugin-sharp?

I published a detailed use case at stackoverflow. Perhaps there are other possibilities to generate fixed sized images with an in-image-padding.

With in-image-padding I mean generate a fix sized image and extend this image with lets say a 100px white border. Not at CSS/HTML level. The picture itself must include the border/margin/padding.

logo: file(sourceInstanceName: {eq: "brand-images"}, name: {eq: $bkey}) {
  childImageSharp {
    fixed(quality: 30, width: 169, height: 80, fit: CONTAIN) {
      ...GatsbyImageSharpFixed
    }
  }
}

Now "surround" this image with lets say a 100px white border. Is this possible?
