Extract number of species and genera from CoL APi

In the home page, we have added number of species and genera (https://hp-legume.gbif-staging.org/).
Numbers are currently retrieved from GBIF API, but it does not reflect the numbers in the LPWG species list.

We would like to use the LPWG species list currently published in the CoL (https://data.catalogueoflife.org/dataset/2304/about), but I have not been able to get the numbers from the CoL API (https://api.catalogueoflife.org/) and need some help to do so.
