no matter what browser I use or what format I have wscribe generate, the web app gives me an error when I try to import a transcript

do you have the extension set to vtt/srt?

I did, but some of my files had more than one period in the filename.

Some video players expect subtitles to be in the form of: VideoFilename.en.srt

I see how this would cause the error I experienced, and files I'm testing now with only a single period in the filename do seem to load as expected.
