Use case

Copernicus Data Space Ecosystem STAC Browser is the default STAC access point to Sentinel imagery, including ARD mosaics, level 2 data products, and (in progress) copernicus services data. The browser itself is available here: https://browser.stac.dataspace.copernicus.eu/?.language=en

Preferred solution

CDSE login should be handled at some point during initialization, and then Authentification details can be passed to the CDSE STAC catalog. Then the datasets from the catalog could be available from the JupyterGIS STAC Browser

Implementing this may take a bit longer than generic STAC support (#795), since accessing data through this catalog will require authentication!

Maybe it is possible for CDSE to accept the galaxy/github authentication identity? If this is of interest, let me know and I will try to connect you to the right person on our team - in general we are interested in federation approaches, as long as our terms and conditions are confirmed by the user
