password issues

what is the username and password for mysql in this package? and what is the root password for the virtual machine of precise 32?

The default user after a fresh install of mysql is 'root' with an empty password.
Your virtual machine also has an empty password.

Thank you for reply. Password of mysql is empty.
However, after I log in vm using "vagrant ssh", I tried to switch to root
account using "su -", empty password doesn't work.
Can you show me how to get root password of the virtual machine?

Usually, you do not need to log as root, as you can use sudo. Btw, have you tried 'sudo su - ' ?
