AEM 1D forward modeling

Hi, Seogi and Lindsey,

I was checking this webpage https://simpegem1d.readthedocs.io/en/latest/api_EM1D.html, and noticed that the forward modeling (for both frequency domain and time domain EM) part is unfinished. I am interested in learning more about the 1D forward modeling (for both research and teaching purposes). Would you mind pointing me to some study materials that I can follow to derive all the equations (that eventually allows me to write my own codes for forward modeling, or allows me to understand your codes in SimPEG)? As part of my learning experiences, I am happy to help expand the unfinished forward modeling part on that webpage.
