Meeting 17.3.2021

• Mr. T - BLDC driver, select one, introduce why is it suitable, show a possible connection scheme (electrical scheme), think about how to drive it (PWM frequency???).
• CEO - DC motor driving... MOSFET? Linear? Specialized PWM driver? (how does it communicate with the MCU)
• V-Man - How will the sensor be connected to the system mechanically and electronically. How is the I2C commiunication, driving.
• JJ Carbon parts Where from? 4 mm rod? Here Beam from here Take both, 3.5 mm inside? There are cables?
• JJ Bearings? From TME
• Mechanics. The base idea is not bad. But, there are headers on the shield pcb, and there are components underneath. Further improvement.

• Mr T, the BLDC expert: Test circuit with DRV10975, don't forget about the voltage regulation. Look over the datasheet closely, look for example circuits.
• C.E.O. Test circuit (basically the final drive part of the shield) with the MCP1401/02 motor driver + voltage regulator + INA current sensor
• V-Man PCB for the incremental sensor.
• JJ gives a shopping list
• JJ Mechanics. The base idea is not bad. But, there are headers on the shield pcb, and there are components underneath. Further improvement.
• L. Chovan. Research the current needs of the motors better. Let's know the exact current needs at our application. Look at the current possibilites of FFC/FPC cables.

• V-Man: Verify the created circuit. If hardware comes, start experimenting with hardware and software. Integrae with the 3D printed part. Research the CW CCW part better.
• C.E.O: Test circuit (basically the final drive part of the shield) with the MCP1401/02 motor driver +Buck-Down, work with Jan B. + INA current sensor, Finish PCB so it is usable and orderable?
• Tedy: the BLDC expert: Continue to create test circuit with DRV10975. Look over the datasheet closely, look for example circuits. What is the voltage of the motors? What voltage goes into the IC? How to supply the logic of the IC? What regulator (external)? +Buck-Down, work with Jan B. Finish PCB so it is usable and orderable?
• Jan B: Buck down expert, work with CEO and Tedy.
• Jožo aka JJ An open design for the "feet", The axis of the pendulum should be flat. (horizontal). Work with V-man to place the encoder. The pendulum is currently swining through the less stable side of the Arduino.

Sensor

• V-Man: Verify the design last time, send it to me. After the hardware comes, start experimenting with hardware and software. Better integrate the part to mechanics. Research the CW CCW part better. Work with software directly in Git.

Motor

• C.E.O: How many grams does it pick up? If (!) new fans arrive test which one is best. 1 A current 3.7 V. Finish the design (integrate w/Arduino, integrate w/sensor board). Add a potentiometer. Try to find out what sort of patterns are suitable for the buck-down (collaborate with Jan B.). Finish PCB so it is usable and orderable?

• Tedy: the BLDC expert: How many grams does it pick up? If (!) new fans arrive test which one is best. Measure the current. Finish your test circuit DRV10975. Finish PCB so it is usable and orderable?

• Jan B: Buck down expert, work with CEO and Tedy.

Mechanics

• Jožo aka JJ Design the motor holder part. Smaller "head" holding the bearings and axes, the "T" part looks weirdly thin, the "A" part of the legs could go higher. Finish the sensory part...

• Lubo Alternativne zdroje silikonovych kablov. Magnet je?

Sensor

Motor

• C.E.O: Change the diode to DO214AC, change the MOSFET to a smaller kind (Nexperia ...), look at how the MOSFET has its thermal management so it can handle the current. The screw must be handled so there is no physical contact between the USB and DC connectors beneath. AutomationShield logos.

• Tedy: the BLDC expert: Low priority investigation of why the BLDC motors don't work.

• Jan B: Helps with the circuit design/CEO.

Mechanical

• Jožo aka JJ Design the motor holder part. Smaller "head" holding the bearings and axes. Finish the sensory part... Communicate with

• Jožo aka JJ CEO must give hole specifications and motor sizes to Jožo. Adjust legs correctly and design motor holder.

• CEO: Shopping list: list everything needed to buy + Flux. Export the 3D model do STEP and give it to JJ (STL?).

Mechanical

• Jožo aka JJ Make a version of the motor holder for a clamp design. Make one entire HW the mechanical part, and send it to someone.

• V-Man: Continue work on the software. Think about the calibration strategy. Collect hardware (Both from Mouser and from Erik, send what's necessary to Tedy). When the hardware comes, finish your brakout.

• CEO Organize work. When PCB are ready who will collect and test the final product?
