K2 does allow uploading webp images, but they need to be explicitly declared in the Joomla Media Manager settings first. Can you double check? |

I have checked it more than once. Joomla is added to the article without any problems. |

Yep/ I have this issue too: info The image was not uploaded. Please ensure that you used a valid image file and that file uploads are properly configured on your server. |

You're absolutely right, my bad. I was thinking of the edits I had done for another extension, but there were never backported to K2. In any case, the latest release (a couple days ago) not only adds WebP upload support everywhere, it now converts all category & user images directly to WebP (when previously it would allow for either JPEG or PNG). Full support for WebP output for K2 item images will come in future K2 releases. |

I would be grateful if setting $handle->image_watermark = 'watermark.png'; will be moved to the k2 backend |

Hi
K2 won't allow me to upload WebP images. I can add them in Joomla articles fine so not a server or Joomla error.
Do I have to allow them somewhere? I have looked around but can't see anything in the settings.
