Steps to Reproduce

Kill the terminal and run npm i && npm run build

Expected Result

There should not be any server island related warning

Actual Result

The following warning shows up although no server island is used

[plugin astro:server-islands] Sourcemap is likely to be incorrect: a plugin (astro:server-islands) was used to transform files, but didn't generate a sourcemap for the transformation. Consult the plugin documentation for help

Hi @florian-lefebvre thanks for writing in and thanks for the repro! Am I correct that this is an issue that started appearing in Astro 5?

I still had to add the Sentry SDK to the app via npx add @sentry/astro but I can now reproduce this. Disabling source maps upload in the sentry integration made the error disappear which lead me to think that this is related to source maps generation. So, I removed the Sentry SDK package again and only added

  vite: {
    build: {
      sourcemap: true,
    },
  },

to astro.config.mjs. And this still causes the warning to appear. Any chance this is an Astro build "bug" rather than a Sentry problem?

Background: our SDK enables source map generation because we upload source maps during build to be able to de-minify client-side errors.
