Package builder hangs if paths have symbolic links

Summary

The package builder hangs if there is a symbolic link in the paths.

Steps to reproduce

Building the package will give errors (see images)

I can reproduce it. It stuck on generating ABI report

I don't think the problem is about symbolic links, the package is succesfully built if you disable abi report (--disable-abi-report). The problem is the resulting binary doesn't have suitable permission. Most likely abi-report chokes on analyzing non-executable files.
