codeberg restricts users from US banned countries (e.g. Iran), and me and (probably) many users would have to use proxies to install/update; which is an unnecessary headache. so please mirror to github/githlab :>

Short answer: I fully empathize with the situation of users in such countries, and it is unfortunate that all viable alternatives, being hosted in the EU, imply sanctioning too. However, I will not mirror back to GitHub, because migrating was a political/ideological protest in the first place. That said, nothing prevents someone else to do it.

I get the ideological protest against github, and i would stop putting my open source projects on github too if i had access to codeberg. these days people are protesting in our country and the government shuts off or disrupts proxy protocols; makes it a hassle to check websites that have banned us.

please reopen this issue, so someone else that might be interested in making a github mirror would see it.

@avsej Not that I know of, I personally don't maintain one.

@ggandor im in EU and codeberg is ridiculously slow takes 30 seconds to open in the browser and 10seconds to load from lazyvim. This nukes any incentive to use the plugin in the first place
