there is a section for ubuntu compilation:
sudo apt install
libgtk-4-dev
libgtk4-layer-shell-dev
libadwaita-1-dev
gettext
libxml2-utils
libgtk4-layer-shell-dev is not available for ubuntu 24.04, but libgtk-layer-shell-dev is.
