How to keep the docker container running?

The docker run command from the documentation takes some time. Is it possible to keep the container running and occasionally feed it a URL?
Maybe it is single-file in the docker container that needs some time. I don't know how to measure that time seperately.

The image I provide is very simple and not designed to run as a server. However, you can use https://github.com/screenbreak/SingleFile-dockerized to run SingleFile in a server (see option 2).
