Still thinking about this. I've skimmed the resource you've linked to, and it seems to be more focused on manipulating TaskPaper content inside Drafts, rather than talking to 3rd party apps. In fact, the only action that seems to do anything in that reference is pushing/pulling files to/from Dropbox.

I think this might be a more useful reference/source of inspiration. iA Writer also uses plain text files, so it seems the most logical reference to me. It also has great Shortcuts support.

In a nutshell, what would be great is:

1. Shortcuts support to quickly open a document in PaperTrail (think lock-screen icon, Action button on newer iPhones...)
2. Allow creation of new documents with input content (templates, "Send to PaperTrail"-type actions).
3. Allow reading of documents and passing over content of document to the next action.
4. Some way to append/prepend data to an existing document. Adding basic item types, maybe tags if somehow possible.
