- [X] I was not able to find an [open](https://github.com/git-for-windows/git/issues?q=is%3Aopen) or [closed](https://github.com/git-for-windows/git/issues?q=is%3Aclosed) issue matching what I'm seeing Migrating the discussion in a commit comment to an issue. Here's what @hickford said in <https://github.com/git-for-windows/git/commit/493151803d3f0dfebf775c33b3de738b1f7b42d3#commitcomment-149554802>: > > @alejandro5042 @dscho Any idea why this paragraph doesn't appear at https://git-scm.com/docs/git ? Does the change have to be upstreamed to https://github.com/git/git/blob/master/Documentation/git.txt ? I'll be honest, I'm not sure. Maybe it's cause this is the Windows version of Git, and perhaps this functionality wasn't upstream? Here's what I'm finding: - My original commit was back in March 2018 in <https://github.com/git-for-windows/git/commit/6e494adeaa47f0b1b710642128865f6035fad897> - However, the Windows functionality was upstreamed July 2019 in <https://github.com/git/git/commit/e12a9556602f4d94254cc4eda25b5615ff07131a> Seems like that July 2019 commit should have included my documentation change.
