This might be an excellent opportunity to unshadow gnutls and mingw-w64-gnutls in Git for Windows, and consume MSYS2's versions instead. (The original reason I started to build those in Git for Windows was that the MSYS2 project was lagging behind updates a bit, but now it's actually the other way round, we're lagging behind and MSYS2 is much more on point.)

I just checked and MinGit does not contain gnutls nor mingw-w64-gnutls, therefore Git for Windows does not even a need an i686 MSYS variant (which could justify to continue building in Git for Windows).
