Problem

From the main / root page a search for "/worktree" led to an image of a 404 on https://git-scm.com/undefined. This worked from other pages.

Operating system and browser

Chrome 138.0.7204.169 (Official Build) (arm64) on MacOS Sequoia 15.5.

Steps to reproduce

Navigate to https://git-scm.com/. In the Search box that says "Type / to search entire site" type anything. I happed to try "worktree" and "hello".

I vaguely remember seeing this in the past when I typed too fast and then hit enter before the search backend had a chance to load the search index (i.e. before the dynamic popup showed any results). Is it possible that you do the same?

Yes. I think you're right. It's not simply that the pop-up appears though, I needed to wait a little longer before pressing return. Thanks for the prompt to try that.

To be explicit I see this when it doesn't work.

And this when I wait a second or two.
