Unfortunately this message is a bit misleading as it says its from an attacker .. it should be from a POSSIBLE attacker because not all scripts are nefarious which execute commands..

So this is what we call a false alert when it comes to virus scans..
A virus scanner looks at the inner workings of the app, without any real eyes and determines if it could in fact be doing something the user does not intend.. but it has no knowledge of the applications true intents.

In which case in the process monitor plugin we are asking windows to tell us the apps running every so often to deliver the info back to the user so theres a constant update available on these particular apps the user would like to track the status of.

We have many many users and I have developed this plugin myself and it does not have any external libraries to be concerned with either.

Also keep in mind the code is open source so you are able to peek thru things and determine for yourself if you feel its doing something bad.

The question is: what has changed that caused the new version to be instantly be picked up while the other versions aren't.

What version did you have previously that did not trip this?

Also it may not of been anything with releases with the plugin, but just windows updating its database on how it determines what may or may not be harmful.

I'm on v170 currently. A redownload of that version didn't trigger the same alarms.

Oki, turns out the only thing in there I could find that could be the cause is an outdated library that was being used for pyee.

It does turn out that I would be unable to update the pyee library as thats what the TouchPortal Python SDK requires..

I was able to update the psutil library but i don't believe this was the cause here..
I'll work on a release here shortly that hopefully will fix this issue.
