Idea: Automatically open "incoming changes" modal after fetch #11718

Thanks so much for opening our eyes to this :)! The "Sync" button is there to see if there are changes explicitly, as otherwise it only updates every 15(?) minutes. And indeed, one could assume that those who want to see if there is something new also want to at least see what's new. To my mind, while triggering the "update workspace" dialog after pressing sync would be very possible and might even be useful sometimes, I also wonder if an instant-modal wouldn't be too disturbing. Ideally, users can review the incoming changes first, and outside of a modal, particularly if they only ask to "Sync" things. In any case, CC @PavelLaptev and @krlvi for this one. |

After clicking on the sync button, I almost always end up clicking on the "N upstream commits" button. Video:

Seems like a very common workflow, wonder if it makes sense to open the modal by default. A user can always be dismissed if someone doesn't want to apply changes right away, and I think the more common action here would be to apply incoming changes rather than not apply them.
