New release 0.15.9 not working, nothing shown on main panel

Nothing is being shown on the main panel.
No console errors.

In reality I have multiple branches applied here, nothing shown.

Thanks @jonagoldman for reporting this, and I am sorry for this disruption.
Would you be able to take a look in the application logs for any error traces ( here's how to find it https://docs.gitbutler.com/development/debugging#logs )

One idea that comes to mind - could you try setting the following feature toggle in a disabled state (it is now enabled by default), and then restart the app to see if this makes any difference.

• Toggling the "new workspace backend" option has no effect after reloading the app.
• I could not find the logs in the location described in the docs, but I found them in : ~/.local/share/com.gitbutler.app/logs/

I believe I am seeing the same problem on Windows. The workspace view does not show any of the lanes for branches that are in my workspace. After messing around a bit I got it to show up for a minute and then they disappeared again.

Thank you guys for sharing details. I am trying to reproduce this, but unsuccessfully so far. Would anybody experiencing this be able to take a look in the UI dev console and check for any errors in there? From the logs that @jonagoldman shared, it appears that there are no API errors, and no performance hiccups either. My current working theory is that it's something in the UI code

I think what might be happening here is that a commit was created in the gitbutler/workspace branch. Previously it would just ignore this and reset the branch next time a mutation is done, losing the changes that were committed into it.

So I thought it was better to 'disable' the UI by clearing the stacks. However, this clearly doesn't help anyone to recover from it, so now it looks like this:

The suggested command does what I'd expect:

• assure current worktree changes are safe with git stash (even though it leaves the restoration to the user), but suggests to commit them, too
• bring the workspace branch back to the managed commit
• restore the worktree to look like what was committed on the topmost commit in the workspace branch

It would be good if the folks affected here could use a Nightly build to try the fix - it should be available in a couple of hours.

@Byron git log does not show any commit above GitButler Workspace Commit. On current version (0.15.9), if I delete a persist:uiState localStarage value and reload view, it shows lanes as expected, but after reload one more time it again shows nothing.

I tried dev version from the master branch and it shows main panel as expected without any errors.
