I would like to be able to direct requests to models hosted on Azure AI Foundry

Proposed solution

Various terminal coding agents support the ability to direct their to a private instance of their model such as Azure AI Foundry.

I would love to see the ability to set an environment variable that allows me to point Copilot CLI at a model within my Azure AI Foundry instance.

1. Set an environment variable that configures the Azure AI Foundry instance to connect to
2. Use either an API key (short term) or Entra ID to authenticate
3. Model requests are now routed to my Azure AI Foundry instance
