Jason has been with the Suricata team for over a decade. He is a professional software developer with 10+ years of experience developing and integrating open-source solutions in the security and networking fields. His experience covers device drivers right up to user interfaces, including co-founding and acting as a CTO of an IDS integrator which was later acquired. Jason currently resides in Saskatoon, Canada.

Suricata is an open source network monitoring and threat detection engine with 15+ years, with a vibrant community around the globe. It is used and integrated in a wide variety of tools, devices and organizations to help provide network security and network traffic data for analysts.

After our Open Source Friday presentation, with Peter Manev (@pevma), it was discussed the possibility of doing a follow-up with a more hands-on / demo approach.

So I'm reaching out again, now on behalf of my colleague Jason, to see if we can organize that :)
