Hi @instancezero there is an action to apply again the last text formatting whichever it is, see the top menu Format->Format Latest (F7), does that help? |

I will apply your clearer description to the action "Repeat Last Format" after releasing v1.6.3, thanks! |

I just had to go into a node and highlight a bunch of words in a text with a different colour. It makes sense that the colour selection dialog comes up when you click on the text/background buttons, but this slows the process down when you need to highlight several areas in the same colour.
My suggestion is to make it so a shift-click on the text colour or background colour icons just changes to the last selected colour.
Edit: I know the alt-shift-F and alt-shift-B keyboard shortcuts are there, but in this use case it's mouse-intensive and much easier to shift-click an icon.
