I've been "window shopping" for a replacement dashboard. I'll be installing this one within the week. I'm sure some folks would want large detailed graphs with historical data. I'm just after the trending usage status of my CPU%, RAM%, HDDs, and Network speeds. The integrated Server Stats widget is intelligently designed, so I'd be perfectly happy if that was the base. I also like the way it presents CPU temperature just with a flame icon and on hover. RAM and HDD can remain as %full bars. The Proxmox VE Nodes widget is also a nice, clean design.

As the title says, I'm not strictly insisting on using Glances, but I'm used to it and I like it.

  1. Layout: I'd like it to be fairly compact so I can fit 3+ systems easily on one page next to my service statuses, but obviously it needs to be readable. Beyond that, it's up to whoever is willing to deal with it. I know several bars and graphs in a line is tight, so maybe the CPU can fit in the dead space to the right of the device name, RAM and HDD bars below the device name, and Network usage graph under the CPU usage gragh. That's just a thought though.
  2. Graphs: Simple line graphs instead of bars specifically for CPU% and Network usage bandwidth. No need for stored history, just have the browser webpage session handle it and render 5? minutes, I guess, of points. Bonus points if hovering on a point displays it's number.
  3. CPU graph: Multiple different colored lines for total% used and a configurable (0-?) number of busiest cores.
  4. Network: Colored lines of up/down usage of the network adapter chosen from options. Actual numbers of current up/down usage displayed somewhere. I can imagine people wanting more lines to include other network adapters, but I don't have a use for that.
  5. RAM/HDD bars: It's fine to keep these simple, but some users will want multiple bars for multiple HDD partitions. It would be good to be able to configure that.
  6. Other Options: Configurable colors for the lines with default options using the dashboard theme colors might be important for clarity. If the widget you design is dynamic sized enough, maybe it would be nice to be able to toggle on/off the different bars and graphs entirely.
