here you have 2 monitors reported: one with "00000000" as serialnumber and another one with "V903ZL5P" as S/N. My guess is the first is reported for the internal screen of a laptop (they often have such a S/N) and the second is an external monitor. Internal laptop monitor are generally not integrated in GLPI because of such a "00000000" S/N as this S/N is just blacklisted as S/N: this is just not a valid S/N. For the second monitor, do you have any problem with its GLPI integration ? About your question to know how monitors information is collected, this will depend on Operating System. On windows, we use WMI and registry datas. On linux and MacOS, we use different commands. You can read the code in the perl source from here: |

In this configuration, two external monitors are used. The issue is related to a monitor with a serial number of 00000000. This is a new monitor from ICL. In Linux, the serial number can be obtained using various commands. I have managed to obtain the correct serial number using one of these commands. Once I have the opportunity, I will provide the command that can be used to obtain the serial number. |

Good afternoon.

Is it possible to add a new monitor model to the glpi definition? In the screenshot, the monitor model is defined by the agent using glpi-inventory.
What command does the agent use to collect information about the hwinfo monitor?
